I think that your best choice would be to use UltraVNC to control MP and go to a different screen, so Power Scheduler won't hibernate the PC. Or else consider a NAS (Network Attached Storage), there is no need for a full featured server. You could even recycle an old PC with http://www.freenas.org/ and leave the PC somewhere hidden where it doesn’t bother.
