    Hi Team,
    Now, than we can Import /Export NFO ( gracefully to Deda) and all features add in Myvideo

    I propose to Add Stub media support, for physical Media ( DVD / Bluray / CDAudio )!

    OK, but why ?? :confused:

    Because, for now MP can scan DvD/Bluray Disc when is inserted in HTPC, MP Scrappe Movie Information with scrapper when you select IMDB in "context menu" or {F3} when Movie Disc is selected.
    MP download Poster(Cover) + Movie info + Fanart + Casting.
    Ok, you are happy !!! all of your 100+ DVD/Bluray librairy are displayed on MP with All information as well.

    Tomorrow, your htpc crash (HDD HS / DB error) or bad use : You have lost all movie info, no possibility to restore Database. and you need scan again all your librairy !!!

    The Goal :
    the goal of this feature are :
    - to have possibility to import / Export Media info (Movie info / Cd audio)
    - Have possibilty to use 3rd part Software for edit Info (Ember Media Manager / XBNE / ... ), similar to ripped files.
    - Have info Movie in SharedView for MyVidéo.
    - Universal sharing between Users / Softwares (MovPic / MyFilm / MyVidéo/ Xbmc )

    Should be available for (sort by priority) :
    1. Movie disc = MyVidéo / MovingPicture / MyFilms / ...
    2. Audio disc = MyMusic / ...
    3. Pictures disc = MyPictures / ...

    You can select many choice on Poll above, please select what you really need ! Thanks:giggle:

    Wiki Xbmc :
    Kodi | Open Source Home Theater Software

    Proposal files managements:

    Naming convention on my sample :

    Folder : Movie Name
    Files : Movie Name (Year).mediatype.disc

    Edit :
    i think the name of folder and files can be free of user, only the mediatype and the structure must be defined.
    My actual naming convetion for ripped movie is:
    Folder : Movie Name - ttimdb - year - resolution - mediatype
    Files : Movie Name - ttimdb - year - resolution.mediatype.disc

    for example ;

    [Wonderful Days folder - TT19191919 - 2003 - 1080 - bluray]
    __Wonderful Days - TT19191919 - 2003 - 1080.bluray.disc

    the same with different resolution
    [Wonderful Days folder - TT19191919 - 2003 - 4k - bluray]
    __Wonderful Days - TT19191919 - 2003 - 4k.bluray.disc

    Proposition :1 (User have same movie on Different media)
    [Wonderful Days folder]
    __Wonderful Days (2003).dvd.disc
    __Wonderful Days (2003).dvd.nfo
    __Wonderful Days (2003).dvd.tbn
    __Wonderful Days (2003).dvd-fanart.jpg
    __Wonderful Days (2003).dvd-cdart.jpg
    __Wonderful Days (2003).bluray.disc
    __Wonderful Days (2003).bluray.nfo
    __Wonderful Days (2003).bluray.tbn
    __Wonderful Days (2003).bluray-fanart.jpg
    __Wonderful Days (2003).bluray-cdart.jpg

    Proposition :2 Actual management
    - [Wonderful Days folder]
    __Wonderful Days (2003).disc
    __Wonderful Days (2003).nfo
    __Wonderful Days (2003).tbn
    __Wonderful Days (2003)-fanart.jpg
    __Wonderful Days (2003)-cdart.jpg

    When start playing item, MP show ask dialog "please insert DVD MOVIE NAME "

    2 types of files extensions :

    * movie.type.disc (include type of physical disk on name files)
    Wonderful Days (2003).dvd.disc
    Wonderful Days (2003).bluray.disc
    Wonderful Days (2003).bluray-uhd.disc

    * movie.disc (exclude type of physical disk on name files, but need to read info on it, for have Type of Disk)
    Wonderful Days (2003).disc

    Both of extensions need to have this info included in .disc / .type.disc needed for import/export and start in sharedview
    XML:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <DiscStub>
      <DiscID>XXXXX</DiscID> // (id of physical disk)
      <DiscTitle>Wonderful Days</DiscTitle> // (Real Movie name)
      <DiscName>Wond Day</DiscName> // (name of Disc in Explorer)
      <DiscFmt>DVD</DiscFmt> // (physical support, if you have DVD, BD ...)
      <DiscUserLoc>Stand E</DiscUserLoc> // Commentary about disc : Library location / ...
    </DiscStub>

    Dialog in FrontEnd :

    Please insert the (DiscFormat) of
    (DiscTitle)
    Stored on (DiscUserLoc) {if User is not empty}

    Please insert the DVD of
    Wonderful Days
    Stored on Stand E

    On insert media, MP verify the good ID/Name of disc

    Benefits :

    Pros :
    - Import | Export of DVD / Bluray movie library to / from Database ( need to have an folder set for export the files when are not already present on storage and was create by MP in GUI ) !

    - Can be used with NFO and in SharedView (my use) but extensions need to be invisible in ShV and not set in Vidéo extension for conflict with player.

    Cons :
    none !

    I don't need optical support, since everything is stored on my server. My database & thumbs files are saved outside the program data folder, and are included in a weekly backup schedule so i won't lose them. Watched status is synced online with Trakt.
    That covers my needs ;)

    Yes, same quality, only removed not needed audio/sub streams + extra's. And no menus because i don't need those either ;)
