Map Remote "HELP PLEASE" (1 Viewer)

Ok so i tried a remote plugin for a remote i have here that dint work out so well. i do notice when i enable use fireDTV reciever i can use the up down left right middle button along with all numbers 1 to 0. so my question is how do i map these 1 through 0 buttons to things like play,pause,volume etc... thanks alot for any help

what remote are you using?

what type of receiver do you have?

what other software have you tried to do the mapping with?

what forum searches have you tried, and what posts/guides have you tried to follow before posting the request for help?

A good rule of thumb is that if you make your support request meaningful to start with, then its more likely that people can see the problem might be and provide relevant information to address it.

I tried everything i can find on google irc forums and nothing works at all period. the remote im using is the grey small one the MODEL number is PC-39 it came with ASUS TV FM Card 7135, i cant find a picture of this because its probably 100 years old. i use it on power cinema 5 software that also came with it. i just installed the stable release V1.0.2 and installed the latest moving pictures along with X-face skin and scanned my movies for over an hour and movingPictures is not doing anything but im just trying to get the remote to work first before other things. im going to order a new remote but the 3 weeks i wait for it to come in the mail i would like to use mediaportal with this older remote if i can just get some help ? if i have to donate to get any help here let me know OK.

Thank you Spragleknas i got it working now i tried for so long to make this remote work and finally got all buttons working. moving pictures working perfect now also mediaportal is just so better with a working remote.
