Hi all,
I'm completely new to Media Portal (and HTPC's in general) and have just setup a PC running MP.
I'm struggling with the remote control side of things.
I have been and bought a MCE remote from Maplins (http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/windows-media-centre-remote-control-a49ha?gclid=CLaMr-qR778CFUoUwwodtQgAwA) and figured this would do the trick.
It plugs in and i can see the eHome driver enabled in Device Manager (although i have this twice for some reason), but i only get basic functionality in MP (direction buttons, ok, back, etc) and not the dedicated buttons for 'Music', 'Pictures', etc
It did work once, for about 10 minutes, but then after a restart of the PC it hasn't worked since.
I'm wondering if this is more a compatibility issue with the receiver rather than the compatibility of the remote itself?
I have also got a Harmony One remote which i've also setup and have the same problems with that.
Any advice?
