Mapping new keys in 1.1.0 RC1 (1 Viewer)

First off, I have tried the stable 1.0.2 release to see if it does anything differently, but it won't tune any channels on my card while 1.1.0 RC1 will, so I have to use that until the next version comes out.

Now, my problem. I have set up ComSkip and have it successfully writing data files for all my recordings. I want to be able to skip commercials from within MyTV. I went into configuration and under General/Keys and Sounds/Windows/Fullscreen Video Specific actions I added entries for ACTION_NEXT_CHAPTER and ACTION_PREV_CHAPTER for keys F8 and F7 respectively. Unfortunately, the list under General/Keyboard shortcuts is not being updated after I click OK, and and F7 and F8 still do nothing when I go into fullscreen video. I can, however, click the skip forward and skip back buttons on the upper OSD control panel with my mouse, and it does skip to the end of the next commercial break.

I have also tried the KeyboardInputPlugin as an alternative, but all that does is crash MediaPortal whenever I press a key.

Is there a way around this currently, or is this a bug that will have to be fixed in RC2 or later?

Follow up: Configuration is saving the keymap at c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\keymap.xml.

I have checked the file, and it does contain the buttons I want configured in their proper formats, under the proper window (2005).

So it seems for some reason MediaPortal is not reading this file, but instead is ignoring it and using its own default keys.

Is there a workaround out there at all? It'd be great to have this working so I can skip commercials with the iMon remote I just got!

Update: It seems changing existing keys does work within MediaPortal, however.

Therefore, I have no idea why adding chapter skip doesn't do anything, unless it's supposed to be in a different window other than 2005 now?

Update 2:

I have no idea why I didn't notice this until now, but RC1 skips commercials automatically, so I don't even need the chapter skip functions.

I'd still like to figure out why I'm having trouble mapping new functions, but I guess it isn't quite as critical now.
