Hi,

My media center is used by the whole family and sometimes, it would be nice to know who have already watched something. Let's say my hard drive is full and I don't want to keep everything forever. The ideal thing is to start deleting stuff that everyone in the house have already seen.

Currently, the items will be marked as "watched" after playing the file's at least one time. This is ideal for only one person using the media center but it's not my case.

Of course, it would be nice to have this functionality implemented in the TV Series plugin, Moving Pictures and the like...

What do you guys think?

I agree it would be a good feature. DVD Profiler has this feature which makes it easier to pick a movie for the family to watch. I'm sure anyone who has deleted a program the wife hasn't watched yet wishes this feature was standard !

That will take a lot of time right? But what do you mean user management? Like profiles? Cause that's something I see in XBMC but I can't see where is that useful. If what, it's more confusing for people not tech savvy like my sister and mother for instance.

You can aleays start your mediacenter in a default usercontext (for your mom, sister, children) - but gives you the ability to change the context if you want to. Or an easy dialog during startup is also understandable by most persons - to be safe, again it can run into defaultcontext after a timeout for mom, sister, children, ... ;-)

I'm not sure what you mean by that but what I'm looking for is something simple and trivial. I pick a movie from the list and somewhere on the screen appears:
    Dad: Checked
    Mom: Checked
    Me: Unchecked
    ...

That is simple and good enough, that's what I was looking for...
