MCE Blaster + Vista 64? (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to set up my vista x64 mediaportal to control my satellite set top box.. I've run into some hurdles needless to say..

After i install the ir server suite, the blaster works fine with the tv2 blaster preset stb configs.

when i try to learn my IR codes, it times out even though the red light on the usb device is lighting up (meaning it sees me hitting a button).

any ideas would be awesome!


EDIT: also, if i click X on the learning window before it times out, i will have to restart my computer in order for it to try and learn again. sometimes it does time out after 10 seconds, and then i don't have to do this.

I uninstalled, deleted all of the program appdata that didn't get deleted (might want to get that fixed) and reinstalled, it worked for one button, but then went back to the same thing.

If you could supply a MicrosoftMceTransceiver_DriverVista.log file, that will help me track down the problem.

When you try to teach the IR Commands are you holding the remote you're trying to teach close to the receiver? Like within 1or 2 inches (around 6 centimetres) ?

I'll take a look at the time-out problem while you prepare a log file for me...
