Ok, so I got my MCE Remote's green button to open MediaPortal, but when I use that, it doesn't put mediaportal into focus. Like I can see the windows bar at the bottom of the screen but the buttons on the remote don't work, because MediaPortal isn't the current program if that makes sense. I have to use the mouse to click on MediaPortal before the windows bar disappears and the remote works with MediaPortal. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks again Ryan! Your a life saver! Unoparator: That works too, but to me that's not really a proper fix. It should just work, and always on top fixes that =]

This will also avoid that other applications like quicktime updater, AMD new driver notification, etc. steal MP's focus. :)

AW: MCE Green Button - Launches but MP Not in Focus

    Hi.
If you press the MCE Green Button again, the taskbar will disappear & you'll be good to go...
In older versions this was the case. Actually (1.2.1) only a mouse click into the MP Window will do the trick. But this can be a Windows Update issue also, as I noticed this since some days, a week or two. Not before...

I don't like MP always to stay on top as you get in trouble on system alerts like "MediaPortal has stopped working...."

That I have not seen once in the last 4 years. But it is a config option, so everyone can choose what he prefers. :)

AW: MCE Green Button - Launches but MP Not in Focus

    Hi.
I got this every now and then, once a month or so. Mainly after Resuming. No big deal, but if MP stays on top it's hard to get rid of that.

I have ESET's NOD32 on my HTPC, which updates it's virus definitions every 4-6 hours, so this is yet another example of why Always on Top is nice. There are plenty of things that can pop up to make MP loose focus, this setting is probably one of the best ones there is. And as someone pointed out, the setting is there for those that DON'T want it!

Just incase you ever want to NOD32 has the option to not show those updates, or the splash screen.
