MCE IR Keyboard (1 Viewer)

I am currently running XP Pro and I am thinking about switching to XP MCE (or possibly waiting for the Vista version to be released), however, I am wondering if there is a driver or anyhting I can d/l to make my MCE IR Keyboard work with my whole XP Pro OS, rather than just my MediaPortal software. I would ultimately like to use my MCE IR Keyboard for my whole system if at all possible without installing the whole MCE XP OS. Anyone know if that's possible? Does MediaPortal have such a driver or plug-in I can d/l? Should I wait for the Vista MCE to be released before buying MCE? Thanks!

Your keyboard works with the rollup 1 update on xp pro, no need to install MCE.
