MCE or Rock? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, quick question, this Rock remote:

even though it's "Vista certified?" would it still work under XP, or would I just be better off getting the standard Microsoft remote:

As a side note, do they not sell the MCE remote with the coloured teletext buttons anymore? all the ones I see are like this one...

I purchased a Microsoft Vista MCE Remote kit about 3 months ago and mine has the cool colored buttons on it.

I found it on Amazon.com and it was 30$ USD.

I got this one...

I could not get it to work on XP but it works seamlessly on Vista. I have read other users have gotten it to work on XP by editing the driver .INF file but I could never get it to work.

Hehe that's funny.. cool colored buttons We've had those since I was a baby on all our remotes in Norway. Can't imagine a TV remote without them, but never thought of them as cool

But more seriously: Why aren't they default in the US?
