MCE remote and adding to playlist (1 Viewer)

I've just installed v1.0.2 on Windows 7 Ultimate, and find it so much FASTER than the Windows 7 Media Centre. I do have a few questions however:

1. Is it possible to configure the MCE remote control to start up and close Mediaportal? I've looked at the Remote Setup in Mediaportal config but can't work out how to do this
2. How do you add an album or song to the playlist using the MCE remote?
3. When Mediaportal first starts up it doesn't usually respond to the MCE remote - I usually have to hit some random keys before anything happens. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

TIA for any help.

Hi, this is a quote from Paranoid Delusion from this post: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/newcomers-forum-240/mapping-mce-remote-screen-capture-74428/ It is about reprogramming the green button. Can you report back if it works cause I want to use it two but don't have time to test it now.

MPTray or MPTrayMod should do what you want, just extract all contents to the MediaPortal installation folder and run the install.bat, that makes sure MPTray is run at system startup, so you will either have to run MPTray.exe manually or reboot.

Now the green mce button will start MP.

F11 is the keyboard screenshot shortcut, this puts things in a dated folder in My Pictures, best way of doing this is to map F11 to a unused coloured button, or use a program like irserversuite (search here) to define all remote button use, including the above mce green button.
