MCE Remote and Mediaportal (1 Viewer)

Hey i have recently bought an MCE Remote (v.2 i think)

And the remote is working great... But i was wondering if i could get the big green buttom at the middle of the remote to start Mediaportal instead of Microsoft Media Center!?

Only have links for Vista, on how to stop MCE running, there are 2 ways, one involve mmc, the other a registry change, so post 2 or 12 found here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-1-talk-45/experiences-tvengine-0-3-a-24097/.

For starting MP, just get MEDIAPORTAL - free media center - MPTray

Put all the files inside the mediaportal folder, hit the install.bat and then manually start the MPTray.exe, so it works without having to reboot, now starts with windows, so green button opens MP instead of MCE.

I have tried the MPTray... And now when i press the "green button" Both Mediaportal and Microsoft Media Center start at the same time... ANNOYING!!

Vista Ultimate or premium, can you run the mmc console in the post I pointed you too or not.

Tell us what you have done please, not it just does not work, this means nothing

Iøm now running Windows 7... I have uninstalled WIndows Media Center. And installed the MPTray app... And it's running in the background. But when i press "The green button" Nothing is happening!?

Do i need to take further steps, or what shoudl i do!?

I am seeing similar issues with windows 7. Microsoft seems to have changed the way the remote works in Windows 7. See my thread...
