MCE Remote Blasters (1 Viewer)

I've just got myself a MCE remote which came with 2 IR blasters. However, I can't get these to work. I've learned a few IR signals from other remotes, but when I try and test these, they don't work. However, the leds in the blasters flash red!

Can someone with a working remote please confirm whether the LEDs in the IR emitters are meant to flash red? I was expecting not to be able to see the light coming out of them.

During blasting they do indeed flash red. Search for threads by and-81 and joboehl as they are both currently doing work with the blaster code.

Not sure it helps, but I have found that the blasters with the remote are far from perfect - they are very temprimental with placement, and for whatever reason, just don't work with some of my gear. I have a Panasonic tv, which thye simply refuse to work with, whereas they work fine with my Denon reciever, and in testing with a cheap dvd player and an old jvc video player.
So if you want to test your blasers and/or the method you are using to learn commands, try them with a few different pieces fo equipment.
