I am running 1.1.0.0 with the latest SVN and everything is pretty much sorted except for my EPG search issue that I have just posted.

I have noticed that a couple of the buttons on my remote (MCE) take a couple of pushes to activate the function. I hear the keypress sound - the .wav associated with the action, but the action doesn't occur until the second or third push.

Two examples are the context button and the pause button. They do work but only once I have pushed them a few times. Again I hear the acknowledgment sound but the action doesn't work. Everything else works instantly, play, stop, skip etc.

The remote works fine in VistaMCE as I am dual booting between XP MP 1.1.0.0 and my original setup until I get it all sorted out.

Cheers
Matt.

No I don't so I am pretty sure that it's recognising the button press correctly.

It actually flashes the screen a bit - the number of presses seems to be related to the speed, if I slowly press it multiple times it will never action but if I quickly press it a few times it works okay.

Haven't been able to find any keys other than context and pause that this occurs on either.

Cheers
Matt.

Some remotes send dual IR signals per button.
Ie first press = IR Signal #1
second press = IR Signal #2
They alternate between each signal to prevent bounced signals being interpretated as a 2nd press.

Is your problem, quick repeditive key presses on remote only recognise every 2nd keypress?

If I press the pause button whilst watching TV nothing happens - if I press it a couple of times quickly it works.

Same thing happens with the context menu button.

maybe signal #1 is false and signal #2 is correct.
if you press very slowly it only sends signal #1
if you press twice quickly it sends signal #1, then signal #2.

Fixed now - turns out that I was using IRSS for the IR Blaster functionality on the MCE remote and also had the MCE plugin configured so a bunch of keys were being sent twice.

Disabled the remote in IRSS and it's all gravy!

    Thanks for the help.
