Hi, I cant seem to get some of the buttons working on my MCE Remote. Buttons like, play, stop, pause, rewind and the back button do not seem to work.

The only ones that seem to work are the arrow keys, enter and volume.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Stu

    MCE Remote Buttons not working

Sounds like these are not true mce remotes, try setting as a HID remote instead of mce.

Then provide make\model, your OS as well, for further support if that does not work.

First, thanks for the quick answer.
Second, sorry for my bad English :)

The remote looks like built by Microsoft
I attached a picture of both the receiver and the remote
This is on the back of the remote:
    AR Remote Control MCE
    Art.- NR.: 1040050
    0536
    Made in China ^^

I tested the Remote on my Laptop (Vista Ultimate) with the Windows Media Center and the Remote worked fine, then I found Media Portal and was amazed. So I installed it on my XP Prof with my Music and Video library and the remote refuses to work properly. I found out, that I have a "CLEAR" button at the bottom of the remote, that works as "back" but I also get the feeling the remote is kind of laggy in Media Portal.
Sometimes it ignores a few inputs, and sometimes it gets one "down" as three. In Media Center everything works fine.

I also tested the remote with Media Portal on 4 PCs (Xp Prof/Home) all with the same issues.

I hope I got you guys enough input.

    Thanks

Did anybody try unticking use "mce remote" in remote section of MP config, as most of these are simple HID devices, which you need to enable as remote type.
