Hi all, what a great application and what a great community.
Is there anyone who could help with installing a MCE remote control so i can use it with MP. I've searched everywhere for help but dont understand some of the things you guys are talking about. Could you point out step by step (for us dummies) how to do this. PLEASE.

Hi,
The MCE remote it's supported out of the box, enable it in MP Setup (configuration) -> Remote & MCE (enable it).
If still doesn't work attach your MediaPortal.log to this post

Roy....thanks so much for your quick response
as soon as you said it works out the box i had a look around
and found that i had the wrong drivers installed. Found the
right drivers here and HEY PRESTO....magic .....everything works.

I was just about to buy one. does this hold true for XP PRO? also, does this include ALL MCE remotes?

They work XP-pro, XL-MCE and with a litle manual installation XP home.
I beleave all MCE remotes follow a microsoft standard, so they should all work.
