MCE remote doesnt work at all (1 Viewer)

I've been trying for the past 2 days to get it to work, but it wont. I tried about half a dozen of drivers from both the internet and the mediaportal site but no luck. It says the mce remote is installed, I see the light blinking, when I had the mce button mapper thing installed I could even boot mediaportal with the green button but in media portal its a total no go. I do have the MCE remote enabled in the config. Im running win2003 server.

Does anybody knows what is wrong? Im getting a bit angry because I switched mce for MP because I heard it was so much better but untill now I've spend 3 days already getting everything to work but its worse than MCE because its impossible to get things to work for no obvious reason which is very very frustrating and you cant find a reason why it doesnt work anywhere.

Where on this website does it say MP will run on Win2003, in fact it will not, the neccesary files are not there.

XP\Vista are the supported OS's.

Well as the whole drivermodel and everything is exactly the same in server2003 as in xp that shouldnt matter at all. Better yet, mediaportal runs just fine on server2003 (because its basically xp only a bit different). But for some awkward reason it doesnt do something with the remote signals. If everything works, than why the remote not? it shouldnt be that hard was 2003 and xp look alike so much. The fact that officially only xp and vista are supported doesnt mean much to me, xp is alot like 2003 and vista shares alot with 2003.

I want to know why it could be that it isnt working and if there is a way to do get it working. It should be something obvious as the remote work fine even in server2003 so why doesnt MP do anything with the signals it gets?
