MCE remote + HIP in mediaportal? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am currently using MediaPortal and GBPVR on my HTPC. The MCE remote I have worked great in MP out-of-the-box... then I installed a different driver for it to work with HIP so I could get the remote to work with GBPVR. But now the remote does not work in MP at all! I tried using HIP to map some remote buttons to keypresses but nothing happens at all in MP.

Anyone else managed to get a MCE remote working via HIP in MP?

The remote is the EU type, it came with a Hauppage PVR150MCE card. It has a USB receiver

1. Config MP for MCE remote.
2. Config HIP to Keyboard device
3. Add MP path to HIP
4. Bottom of window add a key for numbers or arrows.
5. push button on MCE remote control, maybe again.
6. Select a key from list in new window, and OK.

I use HIP for zero button reconfig, and working correctly. Just use original Microsoft driver.

Ok I got it, I had tried to put Media Portal as the second program in the same profile as GBPVR, and it didn't like it. I have made 2 seperate HIP profiles and have to switch between them when I want to change apps.. kinda annoying but oh well

Use only one prifile, but two programs. You can use different settings every key for every program. Just select program, and set value for MCE remote control.

Yeah that's what I did, but nothing happened when I tried to use the remote in MP. So I changed MP to be program1 and GBPVR to be program2 and then MP worked fine but whenever I pressed any remote button in GBPVR, MP would start up :?:

I used green button for only MediaPortal with loader, any button not problem...
