MCE remote mappings (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have a hauppauge dual tuner card that came with a MCE remote.
When I press the middle green button windows media center starts.
Is it possible to change that so mediaportal starts?
And is it possible that when I'm in mediaportal and press the green button he goes to home screen?
(or is there already a button default for that?)
I didnt install any driver or program (windows 7 did it i think)

Yes you can.
Under 3rd party settings
Disable MCE services and enable MPtray.
Also enable the correct remote in the settings.

Another question:
there is 1 button and want to change: when i press it i want to go to 'moving pictures'
When I go to remap mce remote I find the button but i dont find 'moving pictures' (or tvseries) in the action list.
Is that possible or not?

I have a gyration remote Media Center Remote. I tried disabling the MCE services and started MP-tray. I changed the remote to MCE remote (also tried general HID). But Mediaportal won't launch with the green button. Any clues?

I have the same issue with my gyration remote and I can't get eventghost to work either. It would be sooo good to be able to use this remote fully.

I still have a problem:

when I press the green button mediaportal starts,
but my windows taskbar is still there.
I need to click mediaportal with the mouse so it is on top.

I know of a function to have mediaportal always on top but i don't want that because i sometimes switch to explorer.
There is also an option to hide the taskbar but when i check that and start mediaportal,
the taskbar is gone but the windows start buble is still there (windows 7 32 bit)
Any idea?

hey guys,

i allready opened a new thread....but no reply yet.

id really like to update to mp 1.1 but.........till 1.02 i was using mce replacement tool with my hauppauge mce remote. all working fine. after installing 1.1 i noticed the mce replacement doesnt work anymmore....i decided to try irss.........i need to remap the buttons.....for example by pressing the power button i dont want the system to suspend but just go to the main window and stop playing. i did this in mce replacement with a makro ( home screen and pressing "b" ).

but till now i didnt find a way to do this with mp 1.1. mp itself cant do this, irss doesnt work like ti should and mce replacement tool isnt supported anymore.

am i the only one who wants mp to do a macro by pressing any buttons?!

with mediaportal 1.1 i had no problems with my mce remote.
I didnt need any other tool.
Remapping in the mediaportal configuration worked well
