Synopsis:

I have got a microsoft branded MCE remote, european version. Only the up down/down/left/right/ok buttons work. Hope I got all the relevant info in this mail (the supporttool and pastbin didn't work). Will be reformatting and installing a fresh XP with mediaportal some time from now but would very much like to see this solved.
Did try the generic HDI also but that didn't make much of a difference.

been dealing with this problem some time, but only after posting my message I remembered that I had disabled some of the HID-devices because of some problem in Fifa soccer and my joypad. Deleting all of them and restarting windows solved my problem!
