MCE Remote not working with MP1.2 (1 Viewer)

Hello Everyone

I'm new to MP and trying to get my MCE remote to work with MP 1.2.

I cant get it to work.

I've tried it with IRSS also still no go.

I have a Windows 7 U 64Bit box.

Can i get it to work. or am i wasting my time.

Any help would be great.

Hi and welcome Up2Date

No I don't think you're wasting your time at all. What have you tried to get it working in MP? Remember that you need to enable it in MediaPortal configuration for it to work - see the wiki -->here<--. The other thing about MC remotes is that some people find that you need to enable the general HID "remote" as well to get some keys to work. That is only for some remotes though. Most should just work as soon as you enable them.

found the general HID "remote" trying it now

should it just work ?
i have a xbox360 control in this PC
also a Logitech wireless K&M

i've haven't removed them and tested

removed them still not working. any one got any ideas

lol ok. sometimes i hate computers. i uninstalled MP went into MCE to find out it still wasn't working. ???
plugged receiver into another PC still not working. pulled out the batteries then in again. Started working in MCE.

now reisntalling MP

all working now. i have no idea. but thank for help.
