MCE Remote problems (1 Viewer)

Windows Version: Vista Ultimate x64
Remote: MS-Tech (MCE-Compatible)

Hi there!

Having some problems using my MCE remote with MediaPortal. I can use some functions like navigating through elements, entering, etc, but I cant use some of the keys like: Stop, play, and specially BACK, plus some others.

So im not able to go back to the previous menus. Got checked the MCE checkbox in options, plus checked it works flawlessly in Media Center.

What am I doing wrong?

UPDATE: Solved thanks to Keyboard Input Plugin, that seems to work for every remote.

Some of the MCE compatible remotes just emulate keyboards, and not the actual MCE commands for play, stop, etc. Check to see how your system is recognizing our remote; if you see only USB keyboards in Device Manager that could be your problem (Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager).

There are some workarounds that some have found successful (they didn't work for me, but I'm a bit impatient, so I bought another remote).

Another route is to look at on or the remote configuration tools eg eventghost or LM Remote KeyMap or Intelliremote

Personally I use Eventghost. It is a bit of learnig curve but has helped me tame my remote control.

Will try Eventghost, seems its free. Any configuration files you could send or something? Will try and tell ya. Thanks everyone!

Please test latest build from https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/ir-server-suite-irss-165/ir-server-suite-version-1-4-2-test-build-3009-a-33512/

It should work out of the box.
If not please report in IRSS thread.
