Hello.

I have Vista x64 Ultimate and a Philips SRM5100 remote that works great with MP.
The only thing I'm missing is the ability to shut down the PC completely when I press the TURN OFF button on my remote, which is essentialy a "sleep" action button. In Vista's power options for that button I can select only "sleep", "hibernate" or "do nothing", but no "shutdown" or even better "what would you like to do?".
Any suggestions?

From with MP's Gui Homescreen you can selected power button, and select your choice from there.

Or map power button directly to shutdown in the MP config if "use mce remote" enable, select mapping and change the power button to whatever function you require.

Thanks for the fast reply, but this is not my case.
The MCE remote has the "sleep" button, which acts as a master command in Vista, no matter which application you are in. It has the same function as the "half moon" button on Logitech's keyboards. So this is not a MP setting but Vista's and as I said it offers you only sleep or hibernate optons, not shutdown.

    You forgot "do nothing".

If you had googled this, you would have found no answer to this question using purely M$ components.

There may be a third party application that will do this for you.

ps. i have Vista and i like the standby option on remote.

Why not set the action to do nothing and then map it in some other software, like HIP, Girder, EventGhost or IR Server Suite.

If the remote is MCE compatible then you could try making the registry change mentioned in the link in my signature ("You don't need the MCE Replacement driver").

    Good luck,
