I have MCE remote. I can put PC to sleep using the "TV" button in the remote, and wake it by pushing "POWER". So far so good, but it would be great if both functions could be mapped to the same button. I assume that it might be challenging to change the button that powers on PC, so is there any way to use "POWER" button to activate Standby while using MediaPortal? It seems that it cannot be mapped in MP's config?

Does your remote look like this

If it does, are you running xp pro or home, does this standby behaviour exist when Mediaportal not running.

Try uninstalling the ehome driver, in device manager, then unplug ir receiver, reboot then plug receiver back in.

oh, batteries failing also do some weird things with keypresses :)

I think it works this way by default, but the TV power and volume buttons are learning buttons.
Just follow the instructions to program your TV power button to actually turn your TV set on and off.

I now played more with the remote.

Using the "PC" button my PC actually hibernates - and if I push "TV" button PC goes to standby (as I have specified in MediaPortal).

Where can I set PC button to activate standby? Based on your replies I assume that MP will still be capable of waking up PC when a recording is due.
