Just a quick question to the ppl using MCE remotes to control turning on and off the TV.
What button are you using in the remote?

The on\off button (top right corner of the remote) cannot be used because it's already used to control the PC's on and off. I could use the same button but then I could have a situation where the TV is turning on and the PC is turning off with the same button press... coordinating the two will be impossible because I have no software feedback for the TV's on status.

So... what button do you use?

Most, but not all, MCE remotes have a "TV" button at the top left.

If you have the TV Remote, you can "learn" IRSS the IR command, then have it blast that command to the TV from one of the IR Bugs that you plug into the Tranceiver. Then use the Resume and Suspend Events to turn the TV on and off when the PC wakes and sleeps.

I used that button to send the PC into sleep mode. Which is silly, I can do that through MP. I'll use this button to turn the TV on and off, you're right...

Thanks!
