Media Logo's (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

Whilst looking at screenshots in My TVSeries, I became aware of the media logos shown at the bottom of the screen (Divx, MP3, SD etc) and upon digging at little further I found they are display by rules which I can add to.

This got me thinking, I notice that Moving Pictures displays similar logos but where can I find the rules that define what logo's are displayed as I would like to add a few more to the list.

Those are dealt with via the MovingPictures skin file. The "movingpictures.mediainfo.xml" one to be exact.

So it all depends on the skin you are using, then modify that file. Just be sure that some are fixed images that use 'visibility' conditions and others use labels, such as "#MovingPictures.LocalMedia.videocodec.png" that rely on the values provided by MediaInfo during import.

Testing out mvCentral I actually realized I did not have a DefaultWide H264.png logo, so I quickly drummed up one.

Funny that all this time I never noticed that one was missing in MovingPictures and MP-TVSeries, but in mvCentral all my musicvideo clips happen to be H.264 so it was very obvious that logo was missing.

Thanks Rochess. I've had a look at the xml you advised about but I have no idea on how to edit xml's. How would I go about add this icon in for instance??

I don't know the conditions in wich you wish to display it. Study up on how skins work via the wiki guides for MediaPortal first then:

Skin Architecture - MediaPortal Wiki

If it's an existing condition you wish to use, then all you have to do is rename it to match.

I have the default wide skin active, moving pictures in list view and all I want to do is to have a category logo similar to the above visable when you select a film. Obviously the logo will change depending on the category the film falls into. I just think things like this and the MPAA rating would tidy things up a little.
