Media Player 11 Support (2 Viewers)

I've got 2 systems running MediaPortal, one has MP9 and other MP11.

The visualisations work fine on MediaPortal provided MP9 is installed but if MP11 is on the system, the visualisations are replaced by ugly green bargraph.

Please add support to MP11, i'm quite sure its all compatible, just needs to redirect to the appropriate dll.

I may attempt it myself when i get more time (keep this thread updated please)

MP won't be supporting any version a media player as I understand since it has been replaced with the BASS music engine in the newer versions.

i've stumbled by mistake over this.
you should have posted it in the "listen music" forum.

well i've upgraded today to WMP11 and the bis are playing ok.
Are you talking about a specific wmp viz?

MediaPortal is not using Windows MediaPlayer.

MediaPortal uses direct show for MyTV/MyMusic/MyTV ect.

For MyMusic you have the option to use BASS now as alternative player.

But the rule "It has to play in MediaPortal, if it plays in Windows MediaPlayer" is valid.
i guess this is causing confusion

it was the visualisations (all i guess)

only a green bar graph visualisation was showing when internet radio was playing (streaming)

but in WM9 it was showing the WM visualisations

I've the same problem. With WMP11 there is no visualization. But I noticed when I switched MediaPortal to windowed modus that there is another application window showing the visualization.

A strange thing for me: The new BASS engine doesn't work on my system. When I try to play a song nothing happenes. I've MP 2.0 with SVN from 15.12.06 and Windows XP Home SP2 with all updates from Microsoft.

Orco, I'm having similar problems. It used to work, esp with drm encrypted music.... now with mp v 0.2.1 I cannot play drm tracks and no visualisations. Not sure about bass, think I need to do some reading....
