Well I seem to have got it working. I had another program called DVB web scheduler running on the server box. It was idle, doesnt even use DVB to update the EPG so I thought it wouldn't be a problem. I disabled the services related to DVB web schedular, restarted the server and now can get a TV picture in media portal :D My TV server uses a 1MHz Via Epia CN10000 board. I can stream some 720p h264 using the Videos submenu within media portal and seems to work perfectly. TV is less smooth. TV server runs at about 15% CPU usage when watching live TV. But spikes and the video stutters a little bit when pausing and unpausing. I noticed a strange bug. When watching TV fullscreen, CPU usage on the TV server is at 15%. But if I hit Esc and watch TV in a window within media portal, CPU usage on the TV server jumps to 60%. I would like to get DVB web scheduler running along side media portal if possible. Do you think it will work if I get a 2nd TV tuner? One for each program.
