If you want people to respect you, I think you should start by respecting people. When I told you you don't mention Media Portal on you ad, you responded that I must be sick because I can't see what's in front of me. I re-read you auction, and indeed the fine print was there. What you failed to mention, however, is that my remark was true only a week before. So instead of insulting me (because, mind you, I did read the full auction a week or two before answering), you could have stengthended your case by saying that you did change the auction content realizing this. In short, instead of showing bad faith, you could have shown good faith. That would have shown anyone here that you were open for discussion and improvement. But I guess it suited you better to just ridiculize me. Sorry to break your illusion here, but the GPL allow selling the software for anything you see fit, not just the cost of distribution. Well, as usual, people that make profit are depicted as the devil himself. Why is that? When I go to work every day, I improve a software that was written by others. And yet I make a profit out of it, every single day. The GPL was written with the same idea in mind. It is explicitely free to anyone to distribute it and make money out of it. So people making money out of a GPL software are actually people that respect the GPL as it was intended to be used. From the FSF's website: Many people believe that the spirit of the GNU project is that you should not charge money for distributing copies of software, or that you should charge as little as possible -- just enough to cover the cost. Actually we encourage people who redistribute free software to charge as much as they wish or can. If this seems surprising to you, please read on. Mind you, the software is his to distribute. It's GPL open source, so it's here for everyone to distribute. You don't need to own something to distribute it, you just need to own the rights to distribute it.
