I installed, tried to run, and removed the basic mediaportal installation, 1.0.0.0 RC2, at east 6 times.
Subsequent to each installationl that I installed and tried to run, I installed and removed each of the last 5 weekly snapshot releases.
Wth all attempts to start Media Portal Configuration, the SplashScreen tells me "(Not Responding)" and I cannot get past this Media Portal error message:
"media portal configuration.exe application error Process ID=0xfdc (4060), Thread ID=0xfe0 (4064)"
When I press OK, the program terminates.
Wth all attempts to start Media Portal , the SplashScreen tells me:
"MediaPortal.exe - Application error"
and I cannot get past this error message:
"Applicationhas generated an exception that could not be handled Process ID= 0x718 (1816), Thread ID=0xf94 (3988)
Clicking OK terminates the program.
Searching on this forum, and the web, in general, gives me no clue to what to look for, beyond the possibility of a configuration error...
I am running Vista 64 Ultimate, with an AMD dual core 64 bit machine, and a TwinHan AD-SE200(1028).
Any help, beyond Wild Ass Guesses, would be appreciated.
