Hello everyone,

Im using MP now for half a year and it was running fine with my old standard TV but
then the old TV was broken and I had to buy a new one. Since then the following problem
occurs while starting MP when the HTPC is connected to my new Panasonic Plasma TV. MP
sticks when the message "initializing skins" appears and after that it is frozen. I have to kill
the task to comeback to the desktop.

Additionally the configuration programm is not working too - it sticks while starting in the point "adding remote".
I have to kill the task ...

If I connect my normal 19" TFT Computer Screen via DVI everything works fine.

Meanwhile I have tried the folowing things:

- connect TV via HDMI only
- connect TV via DSUB (no DVI connector at TV available)
- connect it via HDMI and DSUB at the same time
- complete reinstall of OS, MP and all drivers without any other software.

I would be happy if anybody can help me with that issue otherwise I have to
sell my new flatscreen ;)).

Best regards
smarty

Hi Smarty1104

Dont know how much this helps but i got a setup very much like yours... The only big differents i can see is that you have a motherboard with onboard gfx card.

I had some issues with the ATI drivers in the begining. Not like you but still try to download the lastest drivers from ati's website w/o CCC, so it only the driver for the gfx card. That solved a lot of my problems with the gfx card...
