This has happened on all 2 of my media portals I get Media portal has stopped working when I click the popup I get. This is from the windows popup. I didnt know where to look for any media portal logs. I assume this if happening from media portal Id-ing a show but how do I find the one that is making it crash.

Well this line in the error

    Fault Module Name: MediaInfo.dll

Would lead me to believe that your MediaInfo.dll is corrupt for some reason or at least causing the issue

You can get the newest version from here (get the DLL version)
    MediaInfo - Download

And then replace the one located here(just rename the old one before adding the new one)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

I replaced that and now I am getting a new error.

    Hi bc0508

The missing DLL error is related to MediaInfo again. Potentially dumb question: are you sure you put it in the right place?

[Edit: I didn't think MediaInfo needs to be regsvr'd but, it might I guess...]

    I dropped it in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

Well i had the wrong new dll I download just the dll from mediainfo. So I just downloaded the complete install and that had a good dll. Have to use the 32 bit version off it.

In my defense I was at work remotely working on it. A little easier to see the file sizes when I got home.

So does that fix the original problem? I'm guessing that the problem was consistent crashes when trying to play certain files?

Yes it fixed the problem I was having MP crash on all my pc's that have MP installed. I think what was happening when I would put a new show out on the nas, MP-TVseries was trying to id the show and that caused the crash I wonder if thetvdb.com has changed the files somehow to make it happen on all my pc's. Which I thought MP looked for local .nfo files first which I have.
