Okay. :) I guess from the log files you read my post and figured this out. As per previous posts: I don't know, and I have no way to know. Okay, so now we're cooking with gas! :) The log files show that TV Server is installed, which is a great start. They also show the reason for the message: [2014-11-03 18:52:25,491] [Log ] [TVService] [INFO ] - Controller: started at Henry1971-PC [2014-11-03 18:52:25,493] [Log ] [TVService] [INFO ] - Controller: local ip address:192.168.100.56 [2014-11-03 18:52:25,617] [Log ] [TVService] [ERROR] - Controller: sorry, master/slave server setups are not supported. Since there is already another server in the db, we exit here. [2014-11-03 18:52:25,639] [Log ] [TVService] [INFO ] - Controller: DeInit. In other words, despite all your uninstalling and reinstalling it looks like your TV Server database (where all the TV Server settings, channels etc. are stored) has been kept. The database is expecting TV Server to be running on a PC with a specific name and IP address. Your current PC name and/or IP address don't match what is expected... and this is causing TV Server to fail to start successfully. How to fix: 1. Download and install an SQL editor. Since you're using MySQL, probably easiest to use MySQL Workbench. Get it -->here<-- (click "no thanks, just start my download" towards the bottom of the page). 2. Once installed, run it. You should see a screen something like this: 3. Double click on "local instance..." under "open connection to start querying" on the left. Now you'll be prompted for your root user password: In a database installed by MediaPortal (which yours almost certainly is), the root user password is MediaPortal (case sensitive). Click OK. 4. You should now see the editor, which looks like this: In the "query 1" section enter: UPDATE Server SET hostName = 'Henry1971-PC' WHERE idServer = 1 Now click on the first lightning bolt symbol to run the update. At this point TV Server should be able to start up successfully. Restart your PC and everything should work.
