media portal screen messed up on start up (1 Viewer)

I just installed media portal for the first time. I installe the stable version - V0.2.2.0. When I click on the media portal Icon I get static squares around a large blue square. I am running off an nvidia 6200 card at 720 p. I am running it on a plasma panasonic tv. Windows look correct.

Edit:
Changing to the wide skin solved the problem.
