Media Remote Control (1 Viewer)

Hi

I've just recently built a HTPC and i have MP1 running which is very nice, i'm still fine tuning it and i'm having difficultly in getting my remote to work, below is the link to the remote i have.

Is this remote compatible with my system and if so do i need to do anything to get it to function properly?

Furthermore i use a Harmony remote control to control the rest of my set-up, tv, amp etc, can this be used to control MP, has anyone achieved this before?

One last thing, is there a command that will allow me to boot up the pc when it is powered off from the remote?

Do not know about above remote, but for hassle free use the genuine mce remote is pretty unbeatable, this is the cheapest that I could find.

For the Harmony to work you would need a receiver anyway.

Thats the exact remote i have with receiver, i've just called Harmony and configured my remote so it looks like thats one hurdle overcome.

Is there anyway i can boot-up my pc using a command from my remote instead of switching it on using the button on the case?

Does anyone know if the speedlink sl-6399 receiver and the genuine microsoft receiver are the same thing? I have programmed my logitech remote with the windows media center software but it doesnt work with the sppedlink ir receiver.

In summary is the sppedlink sl-6399 and the genuine mircosoft media center remote the same thing and work in exactly the same way?
