    Failed to locate assembly 'TvLibrary.Interfaces, Version=1.0.3.28723,Culture=neutral, PublicKey Token=null'. ...

    Hi guys,

Sorry for not speaking or writing german, but hope you understand my solution in English. I had exactly the same problem as you two, except for the fact that I am running Windows XP Pro. Nevertheless that was not the problem. I found out it had something to do with the extraction of DLLs during the setup. MediaPortal was missing 3 important DLLs in its root directory. By extracting these DLLs from the setup executable (with 7-zip) manually and placing them in %PROGRAM FILES%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal, the problem was luckily solved and everything works like a charm at the moment.

In order to fix the problem even quicker, I extracted, zipped and uploaded the DLLs (in attachment). Extract the DLLs to the MediaPortal install directory. Hope that does the trick for you too.

Let me know if the problem is fixed and enjoy the alpha testing!

    Problem gefixed

Great! Thank You. This fixed the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

The .dll has been in the directory, but I think you´re right with "they were crashed during the installation". I copied your files with Admin-Rights into the directory and it runs....

    Thank you once more.:D:D:D:D

    Nochmal in Deutsch.

    Problem gefixed !

No problemo ! Glad I made your day. I would say, never hesitate to help others with the same problem.
Probably this problem will be fixed in the final RC of MP 1.1.

Hello Addow, I have exectly the same problem and consider myself as not a very experienced user. Could you help me with the missing DLL's? I can not find them enclosed and do not know where to find them myself. Your help is very much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Kees

Dear Holzi, that was also my first thinking. Did that and problem was solved but appeared back again after a couple of weeks. I don't know what I did to be in the same shape again so also don't know how to prevent it. Re-installing is now my real last option since it causes a lot of work to have all my IMDB info back again. Any alternative suggestions?
