Hi!

I just installed MediaPortal 0.0.2 RC4 a few days ago and like it a lot, but there is one huge problem with it (at least i do) and that is Media Portal using 80-90% of CPU and up to 200MB of memory. Is a known error/bug and is there a fix for this?

    does mp this when you do something specific like music or tv? or also on the home screen? I don´t have high cpu loads as far as I can tell.
    your system specs might be helpful here

    Believe your problem is codec related, test with Nvidia codec and turn on Hardware acceleration, solved it for me.

    BTW, anybody knows witch other codecs have HW acceleration?

    Yes, works beautifully.... :)

    thats good to know, if that's really an improvement i must find out where to get it (i never bothered because i thought it would not be possible with my ati card)-

    edit. was easy to find out since it's in the MP-download resp. (-;

    Have a ATI Powercolor 9800SE @ PRO (omega softmod driver) myself using Nvidia codec and it works like a charm :)
