Mediaportal 1.0 FINAL - Works! (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

Mediaportal 1.0 is released and I allready installed it. I exported my TV database using the export gunction and imported once the installation was done.

I did a clean installation, first uninstalled Mediaportal and TV server, then removed all Team Mediaportal directories. Rebooted and installed mediaportal.

Installation went quick and smooth

With TV server I had a little issue that while configuring the TV Server, the TV-service stopped, so I could not continue to use TV server setup. It took a long time to close the TV server, clicking several times on OK or the red cross. The restarted TV server setup, and then I was prompted to start the TV service, from there on configuration went smoothly.

Mediaportal configuration also went smoothly.

But then starting mediaportal I had a little issue again.. startup (in full screen) hangs while "Installing mediaportal plugins" (or something) This was because the Mcafee Firewall prompt to allow internet access was hidden behind the full screen start up splash screen.. Once I discovered that it went smooth from there.

I have used it for just 20 minutes now, but it seems to work fine.

Sounds like a good deal -- MP 1.0, that is. I'm gonna suggest you already had one of the RCx installed... I'm still running 0.2.3.0 and don't see any database export function.
