We've just uploaded 1.9.0 Pre-Release to sourceforge. Have a look at the ::release news:: to find out more about the improvements it brings to your HTPC! Happy testing!
Hi, I think I have found a bug concerning silent install / uninstall of MP. There is not yet a 1.9.0 Pre Release section so I post it here and you can move it when possible.
Anyway I am uninstalling MP with the swithes: package-mediaportal.exe /S /RemoveAll and get and error stating "Invalid file handle 32". I get the same message when installing with switch: package-mediaportal.exe /S. This was not the case with previous versions.
Yes, it does not affect the functionality of MP it seems, but it does to my ability to silently install it. However I found a temporary workaround using an autoit script wrapped as executable to look for this error message and close it when it appears. That way I will still have a zero touch installation.Hi, I think I have found a bug concerning silent install / uninstall of MP. It seems to be something to do with font installation. We haven't been able to work out exactly what triggers it yet, but you can click 'okay' and installation will continue.
Is that the keymap.xml? All settings are not kept during upgrade. I have to set key assigments for my dinovo mini everytime when I do update MP.
Yes that seems to be the keymap.xml. Thanks for info I copy it across. Should installer keep this file intact when using update option? Is that the keymap.xml? All settings are not kept during upgrade. I have to set key assigments for my dinovo mini everytime when I do update MP.
The old file should be in the backup folder made before the upgrade, so you can just copy the file across. Of course that's just a workaround...
I think it should. I have no idea why it would not, and I'm sorry I don't know how to fix it either. Please raise a bug report so the issue can be tracked:Should installer keep this file intact when using update option?
