Mediaportal 1 startup sequence doesn't init my Technotrend CAM properly - apparently. (1 Viewer)

Greetings!

Here's a bit of a brainteaser; Windows XP SP3, MP 1.0 (GA) and Technotrend S-1500 (DVBS).

After a stroke of bad luck, having cooked the HD where MP 1.0-RC2 was installed, I had to reinstall everything including MP1 1.0 (GA).

Having spent some time wrestling with the drivers, I found that the sequence of dvbfix, Technotrend's DVB-DATA package and their TT-Media Center to be cruical:

1. install dvbfix
2. install dvb-data
3. Install TT-Media Center.
4. De-install the S-1500 driver (not the entire dvb-data package).
5. Reboot and re-install the S-1500 driver by poining the "new hardware discovered" wizard at them.

Now everything works, with the following "minor" annoyance:
When booting, I have to go through the following sequence to get TV in MP:
1. Boot up.
2. Stop TV Service
3. Start Technotrend's TT-MediaCenter
4. Verify that the CA module is initialized properly.
5. Close TT-MediaCenter.
6. Start TV Service
7. Start Media Portal Client.

If this sequence isn't executed, MP will complain about channels being scrambled.

I'm given to believing this is some DLL chaining bug of some sorts - <sarcasm>for which I love Windows</sarcasm>.
It's "good fun"
