MediaPortal 2 installer (1 Viewer)

It actually built OK on XP. And it didn't seem to balk at XP (at least so far). It was trying to access some XML config files that didn't exist presumably because MPII had never been installed on the machine. I guess the proper question is how do I create an installer? By installing RoboCopy in my search path as you suggest and build MPIMaker and ExtensionInstaller ?

I also have a Windows 7 machine if it turns out MPII has a < Vista check.

There is no installer for MP-II yet. In the MP-II SVN folder, there are still some old resources like ExtensionInstaller and MPIMaker. Those projects are obsolete and do not work at all for the current MP-II.
So currently, the only way to get a compiled version is to compile it with a VisualStudio or with MSBuild (there are also build scripts in the Build folder which should work).
This will create the build output in the Bin folder. You can start MP-II from there or copy it somewhere else.

Thanks. I built the client only and it wouldn't run because of the issue in my first post.
I will try building the server too and see if that fixes things.
