Mediaportal and VideoReDo simultaneously (1 Viewer)

Is there any way to use VideoReDo whilst MP is running?

At the moment, if I try and open a file in VideoReDo whilst MP is running I get the following error in the log:
"Error initializing video: Can't create DirectDraw frame surface: DDERR_NOEXCLUSIVEMODE, Overlay Flag: 0, Accel Flag: 1"

I have the same problem if I try and run a VideoReDo batch cmd to run Ad-Detective on a file.

I've tried the various Video Driver options in VideoReDo but I get the same error no matter what.

Not on XP at least since only one application can have the exclusive DirectX mode (at least based on the error it is the reason). With Vista / Windows 7 MP itself is not using exclusive mode so it could be possible there.

One thing I find strange though is that if I try to play a file with MPC-HC whilst MP is showing TV, I get an "Error creating DX9 allocation presenter. CreateDevice failed. D3DErr_Devicelost" error, but when I close that popup, it proceeds to quite happily play the video without any problems.

I am not sure if this is an XP issue because I am using Windows7.
