Synopsis::

After installation neither MediaPortal nor MediaPortal setup applications can't start (they just hang). Tried to reinstall .NET
1.1 and 2.0, DirectX e.t.c. - no success. No error messages in log files...

Try this it worked for me,
uninstall MP
delete Team mediaportal folder in program files
reinstall MP
