Hello @ all!

I've the following system with tv card Pinnacle Systems PCTV 300i PAL Stereo.

This card is recognised by MediaPortal as you can see in the following picture:
mediaportalgmq1.gif

But when I click on "Scan for TV Channels" there appears 69 times
channel:1 source:Antenna: No Signal
channel:2 source:Antenna: No Signal
...
channel:69 source:Antenna: No Signal

I have an analogue satellite receiver and this has TV out and SCART for output.
I took a composite cable and connected the "TV out" (satellite receiver) and TV in (Pinnacle Systems tv card in the PC).

But it doesn't find anything. Maybe the MediaPortal software scans antenna but not the composite line-in.
Do I have to switch anything to scan the signal on composite?

Here are pictures with the cable connection:

For any help thanks in advance! :)

Here the problem again in german language:

Hallo zusammen!

Ich habe die Pinnacle Systems PCTV 300i PAL Stereo als TV-Karte im PC.

Die Karte wird von MediaPortal einwandfrei erkannt.

Führe ich allerdings "Scan for TV Channels" aus, dann erscheint 69 mal:
channel:1 source:Antenna: No Signal
channel:2 source:Antenna: No Signal
...
channel:69 source:Antenna: No Signal

The reason you are getting this message is because you don't have an antenna connected - so no signal will be detected!

You have connected your analogue satellite box to your 300i using a composite cable, not using the antenna. You are then scanning using the antenna module, so it will find nothing.

    You have two options.

    1) Change your source on the scanning page to composite and use that method to tune to the signal, not the antenna tuning (however this will need a software video encoder (to convert the composite signal to a digital signal). I am not an expert on this so I can not help with this and have tried to achieve it previously.....with difficulty! Also note, that with this setup (as currently connected in your photos), you will get no audio, since audio is not transmitted through the composite signal, but via the stereo output - which will need to connect to an input on your PC sound card). I think this link might help you: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...l-most-software-encoder-based-tv-cards-90355/

    2) Connect the satellite box to your 300i using the antenna output (on the box) to the antenna input (on the 300i). Switch on the satellite box and run an antenna tune in MP (just like you tried earlier). This will pick up only one channel which will be video and audio from the satellite box, but not the best quality in the world.
