mediaportal freezes at start up (1 Viewer)

hello everyone,

i want to run mediaportal on my laptop but it freeses when he tries to instialys direct X (don't know how you write it exactly)

my laptop is brand new and it's good enough to run it.

does somebody has a solution?

i want to use mediaportal because it's way better than other free mediacenters!

I just had my video card go back and while I am waiting on my return I wanted to see if my old Geforce 1 DDR would even run MP. It locked at the start and would never start. I can't confirm where it locked up at.. but this could be the case. Like Ronilse said, lets see your machine and see if the video card can handle it.

My guess is that your laptop doesn't have a DX9 graphic card. This is neccessary for MP to wark (some ppl. get DX8 cards to work, like 9100/9200/9250. Onboard laptop gfx might not be more than DX7).

I searched a bit and my video card doesn't support direct x 9.
