Hi there, I'm totally new to this whole TV DVR experience at all and so this is my first time using MediaPortal. I have tried multiple times to download and install the main client. It brings up the first screens where it asks about if you're going to watch TV and then asks about the plugins and then once you get to the list of things it says it will install, I click install. It kind of starts doing something and then it just hangs and nothing happens.
The weird thing is that icons are appearing on my desktop as if things are installing, but I really don't think this is right. I've left the window up all day just to make sure and it had still been stuck on installing the TV Server.
I read somewhere that they already had the LAV stuff installed like I did, they disabled that from being installed and it helped them. No such luck for me.
You may have to walk me through this in a dumbed down manner because I have no clue what to do.
