MediaPortal 'freezing' when Playing music *resolved* (1 Viewer)

I just reformatted my system from total scratch. Installed Windows XP Slipstreamed w/ SP2, updates, system and other device drivers, and then MediaPortal RC3. My machine is an Athlon XP 2600 2.08 Ghz, 512 MB Ram, 128MB DDR Video Card, etc.

I love the new Mediaportal setup look and feel (especially for the plugins). However, i'm having a problem with a certain part of the new release.

I imported .pls streams and can see all the ones i imported in My Radio. However, when I play one. It seems as though Media Portal freezes, but the stream would still play. However, i can't do anything else with media portal except to manually end it through task manager. I tried installing Windows Media 10 and Winamp but i can only use Windows Media 9 within Media Portal apparentely. I tried to also just play music, and the same thing happens. Media Portal CPU usage skyrockets to 99% when doing either thing. Any ideas? If you need me to post an log let me know.

Hi, & welcome to the forum.

Try a later SVN from here http://svn.team-mediaportal.com/ if you haven't done that. Read the text on the page & see if it fix your problem.

I tried the latest SVN for RC3 and im still having the same problems. The logs talk about error with Direct X. I'm going to download the latest DirectX and see if that fixes the issue. Otherwise, i really see no point in trying every single build if the problem occurs at the beginning build to the latest build of RC3. Thanks for the suggestion however.

Still no luck. DirectX 9.0C Didn't help at all. Is anyone else having these issues? I can't imagine being the only one since this is a totally fresh install of my operating system, program, drivers, etc. all updated.

Allright have an update! It seems that it happens with the RealMP skin only. I tried another one and seems to work great! Ill redownload that skin because it says something is missing from the skin.
