Windows XP 32 bit

After installation of mediaportal an not able to scan any channel I removed mediaportal.
Now I'm ehum with the mysql cause after swithing to a old restore point, still password 1 error on mysql install.
I never understood why mediaportal needs sql in the first place, sql ain't safer then any standard saved file meaning, if the harddisk crashes and no backups are made then the risk to loose data stays.

But okay, I googled a bit on how to remove mysql completely but none of them work.

Typical windows : removing applications keeps still some data in the registry.

So how remove *every* trace of mysql?
