Summary:
Exposing an .m3u playlist with all the Tv channels
Area:
MyTV
Description:
IMHO (and referring to my specific needs) the most lacking feature of MP is the possibility to view Tv on Smart Tvs.
The only thing I've found is a plugin for Plex (which has apps for many smart tvs), but far from being useable.
I was asking myself if it would be possible to expose an .m3u playlist with a link to all the MP channels (i.e. http://ip:port/channel1.ts). Even without a web server we could use hfs (asking permission to the author) pointing to the MP timeshifting and recording directory.
Every other software I know does this (dvbviewer, tvheadend, progdvb, etc.).
Once we have a working playlist we could use an iptv software on the tv.
What do you think?
Bye,
