HTPC has Media Server installed, works fine from a client PC when the MediaPortal GUI is not running on the same computer as the server.

However when the GUI is started, the client PC displays the error message Unknown Error On CVBS#1, could not find stream when attempting to watch the TV stream.

Am I missing something, can you not watch the TV on the MediaServer as well as clients?

I am new to this Media Portal but it sure beats MS and the Linux attempts! Keep up the good work Portal Team.

You pretty much hit the nail there.

What I had not done

Removed the capture card within the MediaPortal configuration for the MediaPortal acting as the TV Server.
Installed the client plugin on the MediaPortal acting as the TV Server.

Now I can watch TV via the TV Server Engine in my bedroom and downstairs! :D

Thanks alot for the pointer.
